Communication consent and messaging preferences

Consent to communications from Ryh

This page explains when and how Ryh sends messages via RCS, SMS, WhatsApp, push notification or email, and how users can change their preferences at any time.

  • Transactional messages are triggered by a specific user action
  • Marketing messages are only sent after explicit consent
  • Promotional communication can be withdrawn at any time

When do users receive messages from Ryh?

Ryh may send messages across the entire Ryh ecosystem, for example in connection with Ryh Dine, Ryh To Go, Ryh Concierge, Ryh Delivery, Ryh Market, Ryh Rewards, Ryh Pay and further Ryh services. Messages may include:

  • Phone number verifications and one-time codes
  • Order confirmations and status updates
  • Reservation details as well as pickup and delivery notices
  • Payment confirmations and security-related notices
  • Support replies to your own requests
  • Voluntarily subscribed offers and news

Transactional communication

Users trigger transactional messages through a specific action, for example by entering and confirming their mobile number, creating an account, placing an order, making a reservation, completing a payment, contacting support or using a Ryh service. These messages relate directly to the requested service or to account security. Entering a phone number is not treated as consent to marketing.

Voluntary consent to marketing messages

This is what the consent section looks like inside Ryh. The checkbox is unchecked by default.

Example of the consent interface

I would like to occasionally receive news, personal recommendations, benefits and offers from Ryh via RCS, SMS, WhatsApp, push notification or email. My consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

Using Ryh does not depend on this consent.

This example stores no consent and triggers no message. It only illustrates the opt-in process. Actual preferences are managed in your Ryh account or in the consent dialog shown to you.

How the opt-in works

  1. 1The user opens a Ryh service, signs up, orders, reserves or provides a mobile number for a specific process.
  2. 2Before any optional promotional communication, a separate, non pre-selected checkbox or an equivalent unambiguous consent is shown.
  3. 3The user actively confirms the consent.
  4. 4Ryh stores the timestamp, the consent wording, the selected channel, the source and the consent version.
  5. 5Only afterwards are voluntary marketing messages sent through the selected channels.

Withdrawal and opt-out

Users can unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time. For RCS and SMS messages a reply with STOP is sufficient. Marketing preferences can also be switched off in the Ryh account, or Ryh support can help. After a valid opt-out, no further promotional messages are sent through that channel unless explicit consent is given again.

Supported keywords: STOP, STOPP, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, ABMELDEN

Necessary transactional or security-related messages about an active order, reservation, payment, support request or security event may still be sent regardless of a marketing opt-out, as far as this is required for the requested service and legally permitted.

Message frequency and possible charges

The number of messages depends on how the respective Ryh services are used and on the voluntarily chosen preferences. Message and data rates may apply depending on the mobile plan.

Supported communication channels

RCS

Verified Ryh sender with logo, cards and quick replies.

SMS

Sender “Ryh” when RCS is unavailable on the device.

WhatsApp

Only after consent and within WhatsApp policies.

Push notification

For signed-in users with a registered device.

Email

Receipts, confirmations and voluntarily subscribed news.

Technical availability of a channel can depend on the device, operating system, carrier, country, consent and personal communication preferences. If RCS is not supported, Ryh may fall back to SMS or another available channel for permitted transactional messages.

Privacy and preferences

How Ryh processes personal data is described in the privacy policy. Use of the services is governed by the terms of use.
